A nice piece there Darren- I think you have done particularly well with the paint shade.

Darren this is a very nice job ! The finish is excellent. I’ve never noticed the drivers guides before. Are they on all Merkavas? I don’t think I’ve seen them on any other tanks come to think about it.
Again great job!

This is a recent addition I believe and so I added it with this representing the latest edition. I should say I also used aftermarket tracks from Aliexpress as the kit offerings are detailed well enough but fight you all the way.
Again I thank everyone who is taken the time to comment as I put a lot of effort into this one which shaky hands do not help.

You do see them on the rear as well sometimes but they do seem to get lost or broken easily

Great pic Darren, and I see they have them on the rear of the tank as well.

When it comes to painting I hunted down correct or accurate colours as they are so described, but I tested on some scrap plastic and I did not like the result; I also noted that no two tanks look alike as regards colour and so went my own way. I undercoated with matt black paint from from the painter army and then modulated the finish with light coats from AS-15 and TS-3 from Tamiya rattle cans. the result looks to match close to many photo images and I was pleased with the result

Excellent results Darren - you’ve captured the color very well.

Nice work! I have one in the stash without the cage and I hope it turns out as nice as yours.

I would give serious consideration to going down the aftermarket route with the tracks
