Here we take a look at the Merkava Mk 4M with Roof Mounted Slat Armour from Meng in 1/35th scale.
Knowing Meng well, that’s got to be one hell of a kit OOB. I predict a real winner here.
M. Mass gives them everything current .
I don’t know how he does it cause I almost got arrested for stuff that was 40 years old but he’s connected… I’m not
This is another really nice offering and I purchased a set of metal tracks with pre cut pins that also have a stop to them for this release from SANXIN SX35011.
I’ve never heard of this brand of metal track links. Where did you purchase them from and did you have any issues with them?
I’ve bought SANXIN tracks from AliExpress. The tracks are great quality and a great value. I didn’t have any bad issues at all, with either the tracks or AliExpress.
The kit tracks are the worst part of the Meng Merkava IV kits. I do not know why they chose this approach/engineering of the parts.
A welcome release although PE companies might want to offer a mesh for the roof top.
I agree. I can’t understand Meng’s approach to their tracks. The engineering of their kits is such high quality that they can be built to perfection without a touch of putty. But their tracks are always a b*tch.
I purchased mine off of Ali Express and they come in for the UK at about £30. I found two links that I needed to open the holes on but otherwise perfect in every detail. It is also worth noting that the pins can be located from either side and so seen or not your choice. So far I have ordered 3 sets for the Merkava 4 and also 2 different sets for the Magach and these are a real pleasure to assemble.
