Micro-Trains via Trainworld US to Canada = I'M BROKE

I’m disappointed and regretful.

I pre-ordered the Micro-Trains Boeing Fuselage set back in Feb.

It cost $102 USD + $43 USD in shipping. That converted to $205 CAD

When it reached the border I was charged Duty (25% Trade War Surtax), 12.5% taxes and another $10 handling fee but by Canada Post this time. That cost me $65.

All in for the set (pic below) $270 CAD

To add another dusting of disappointment, I still have to add the decals and deal with all the unfinished resin printed pieces. I didn’t think I was purchasing an unfinished product.

Such regret.

If it makes you feel any better that’s not much more than if you purchased it here.

There’s a resin fuselage available by itself for $35 US, but with the cost of N scale rolling stock these days I’m not even sure that’s a good deal.
