Mig-21 SMT riveting

Dear Fellows, since I’m looking for blueprint with rivets ask for your help if anybody is familier with this? Thank you very much for your reply.

Maybe it’s not the SMT version you’re looking for, but here are some drawings anyway

There’s probably a Mig-21 within a day’s drive of you. I like to do my own research. I’ve seen two of them recently:

Intrepid Museum, NYC

National Naval Aviation Museum, Pensacola

You may find it’s not as riveted as you thought it would be:

Compare the panel just above the tip of the fuel tank with the drawing Frenchy posted. This is why I like to do my own research.

Another one I photographed at the Cavanaugh Museum. It’s close now while they relocate but I still have access to things I need. Rivets are barely noticeable.

A lot of “rivets” are actually screws.

This is a riveting topic…

If you wanted to upsize there is probably a 1:1 Mig 21 for sale if you look around.

coooool !

Hell, there are probably a few places around the world where they’d pay you to haul it off so they could plow their fields without having to drive around them.

Here are various MiG-21 walkarounds (no SMT though…) with many close-ups. Like 18Bravo said, screws are mostly used instead of rivets…
