Mig production 1/35 early idf tank crew

Would MiG’s early idf tank crew be suitable for a 67 war M51?

I’m not sure Greg, but the Israeli uniforms didn’t seem to change much from one conflict to the next but I’d have to research it more. One figure appears to wear a sweater though and the ‘67 war was fought in June. Some actual pics of Israeli tankers from that year would help.

They seem to have worn US Army WW2 tanker helmets a lot.

While I’m sure a photo or two could appear that shows otherwise, the Soviet style helmet had been replaced by the leather US tanker helmet for the most part. I do have a few photos of IDF tankers from that time wearing French steel helmets as well.

That is true but as always, never say never with the IDF…

I knew there was a reason I said that - I have that photo. :grinning:

The safest option though would be, as you said, US or French headgear

Absolutely true lol

Would the MiniArt Yom Kippur War ('73) figures be usable? Maybe swap the helmets for WWII US leather tanker helmets?

I’m not sure Gino, did they have the tanker overalls in ‘67?

Not like those. They will not work.

Thank you all for the quick response. I had seen these figures before and wasn’t sure. Maybe they’re a suez crisis set but there isn’t much information to go off of. I do have three figures from the academy set but it appears that no one makes 67 war figures say for a few resin companies. I do have the 67 paras for the M3 halftrack but i was hoping to use them in a different build.
