Oh, that guy almost died right there. Yeah, big split rim truck tires are dangerous pressure vessels that can fling metal pieces thru human bodies.
I once saw, when on mission in Bosnia a fuel truck of which several wheel bolts were broken, while some nuts were loose. The wheels were not aligned anymore. The truck was at least partly filled and the drivers wanted to go back to their base like this!!! Needless to say they were grounded!
