Military model depot Diane Bruner

I had to edit the F word and one other choice words I used ,or I couldnt post her reply . Armourama wont let F word be posted .

I have been waiting since Oct 2023 for a PACV, I too have delt with Diane through a few e mails and at first she reassured me I would receive the kit as soon as it was released from the maker. The closest hobbyshop to me is a 4 hour round trip so I ordered it on line. My closest shop has sold out of the kit and I ended up ordering from China and I paid less than half what Military Model Depot charged me, They also seem to be running Model Airplane depot as well as Model ship Depot, Slick sites but no interest in providing kits.

They appear to have opened a new on-line hobby store hobbymodel.com. It is physically located at 504 Route 6, Mayfield, PA 18433. The company is owned by Diane Maresca, Dale Bruner’s wife. The company has a 1.8 rating on Trustpilot with many customers describing it as a scam.

What other on-line model shops do they run?

Military Model Depot, I’ve been waiting since Oct 2023 for a KIT, Internet hobby, There is also a fraudulent ship model site and I just saw a warning they were using the TAKOM banner to sell too.
WARNING! Please do not attempt to purchase Takom products from [www.takom-military.com.

While visiting my sister-in-law in PA, I drove to their last address, as it was only a half hour away, just to check out this operation. It turned out to be an abandoned barber shop.

According to Trustpilot, they operate under several different names, in addition to the others mentioned above; Hobby Wheels, Hobby Rails, Hobby Book Depot, Red Star Hobbies, Military Model Depot, Model Airplane Depot, Model Railroad Depot, Model Ship Depot, Gundam World Online, Model Kit Closeouts and Model Train Closeouts. All scams.

Yes Military Model Depot they sucked me in for $200 USD, Glad You shared this list, thanks

They were prosecuted by PA district attorney as far as I know …

The weird thing is the first and only time I ever bought from them I ordered the AFV club dieppe churchill. To my surprise after reading reviews it actually arrived though I did have to fight the on it

Sad to see them taking advantage of so many people getting into the hobby

go to “Delete Me” pay $6 to get your info removed, all these data brokers are a pox on society.

Cool suggestion though :+1:

@Uncle-Heavy try this:

Thanks!
I never got any e-mail spam from them so at least I don’t have that problem.
I get very little spam anyways, Sweden & Swedish may not be the spammers
favourite fishing areas. I think gmail does a pretty good job at deleting spam.
Gmail does try to hide the e-mails with news sent out by Blitz Kit of France
Maybe Gmail is colluding with my wife …

I will say as an aside that the $10 is probably correct.
A kit to California from Tacoma Washington was $13, To the midwest was $16, to east coast was $19.
I just sent a kit to Texas and it was now $19. We as modelers tend to overlook shipping. As shipping becomes more convenient, it is becoming less affordable.

I tried calling the Atty Gen number but it is not available to me because I’m calling from Canada.
