Plus model announced the release of a set with a mine plow T1E1 for ARV M32 from Italeri in 1/35 scale.
The kit includes 68 parts cast from resin and 22 parts made on a 3D printer and a sheet of photo-etched parts.
This is really awesome! As long as it can be modified to fit the Asuka M32. Should be a piece of cake. I can’t imagine why they made it for the Italeri kit. The Italeri kit has the wrong hull, bad molding, inaccurate details, and unusable tracks.
I don’t see how this would fit only the Italeri kit and not the Asuka one. The whole roller sits on the front of the vehicle, attached to the final drive housing only. At worst, you may have to file the mounting points a little to get them to fit an Asuka kit.
(I really need to finish mine, which started out as the BoldDivision conversion kit but, well …
… let’s just say that my advice is that you spend your money elsewhere. I would definitely be interested in reading about how this one by Plus Model compares. My guess is favourably )
I guess that answers why there are two sets: one with a housing to fit the Asuka parts, another for the Italeri hull. And I suspect their reason for doing it like this, is because it’s very hard to work out from available evidence where on the housing the supports attach (this is a main reason why mine stalled). Sure, they can provide a diagram, but plenty of modellers will be put off by having to measure out where the bits go without any locating tabs or anything.
