New MiniArt Kit Coming Soon: 35429 M3 STUART LATE PROD. INTERIOR KIT
Something wrong here. This late version should have a turret basket. Clearly they either have not done their homework (like their Pz III turret baskets that should not be there) or else they haven’t bothered with new cads which strikes me as very strange. The plastic and million pieces will put most people off
Are you sure? I thought the turret basket only came for the M3A1, like the last Tamiya
The summary says it comes with a turret basket
My bad. I misunderstood this quote from TMN;
“ The M3 saw service with American forces in the Philippines when the Japanese invaded in December 1941. Feedback from these actions led to improvements incorporated in the M3A1, which began production in May 1942, including the addition of a gyro stabiliser for the 37mm main gun and a power traverse for the turret. The addition of the power traverse required the turret to be fitted with a basket or floor that rotated with the turret. This was the first American tank to include such features.”
I find this disappointing - why faff around with literally the same type. MA should have done something different ie the turret basket
For me, these MiniArt Stuarts are the PERFECT models. They make me smile. They make me joyful. I just hope they carry on and go right through to the twin-Cadillac M5A1s and M8. And then - go back to the M1 and M2 predecessors!!!
MA does both interior and no interior kits. This being there first late production M3. Looks like they will probably do a late no interior before a A1 version. Which might come late this year/next is their usual trends follow.
You obviously know how MiniArt operate. An M3A1 with turret basket is likely to appear in due course. Patience is all that is needed, particularly for those of us waiting for the later versions.
I know nothing….but I see a pattern with the M3 and other kits they have. I haven’t picked up any M3’s yet but will. I too hope for a M2 and M5 versions.
