More rubber add on to Puma skirts.
It makes one wonder how this wreckage has affected the wildlife and domestic animals, very touching photo of compassion. I have seen small cats on the battle field, groups of small dogs and last night I saw a small flock of sheep run across a ruined landscape. Earlier flocks of pigeons flying around as buildings were being bombed.
Are these APC’s Achzarits from 1988, still running on T-55 hulls?

Yes, Achzarit is a T-54/5 hull with new engine (m109), new suspension(the later version) and added armor.

Your question is sufficiently answered of course, (with verying degrees of accuracy) but the US Army was doing it in MRAPs at least as far back as 2007. I did one mission in one, being dropped off at the Syrian border one night, I modelled the blue light feature about tens year ago. You can shave down a blue LED like I did if you want to replicate the effect.

Unfortunately I can’t link to an individual post like you can on the new format. Second post from the bottom:

Task & Purpose rocks!

On the field promotion. We all been at one, we’ve all been promoted this way at one point in our military careers.

A great close up of the Ofek in action; nice find, H.P., thank you.

And anyone know about the Achzarit on the left, with the odd box on it’s left rear corner, please? First time I’ve seen this and I’ve looked at lots of Achzarits.

HP, I wonder what size round those ammo cans are for (photo of the guys sitting around on interesting chairs)? Thanks for the great photos!

mortar rounds most probably, the vehicle on the right is a mortar carrier

I was looking for additional images of the Achzarit with the mysterious box at the rear, and found these instead…

Excellent views of the rubber sheets on the Puma skirts. I thought that they may have been bolted or rather mechanically attached but in a lot of photos they look to be attached by an adhesive with holes to allow easy access to the mechanical attachment hardware.
Interesting pallet, that a 120mm round to the right in the photo?
Thanks for the great photos.
