Modelling armour in Ukraine crisis

Some Ukrainian source claimed that the Russian troops who occupied the Chernobyl plant and camped in the radioactive dust in the red forest were using maps issued in 1984, i.e. two years before the disaster …

Are you trying to infer something here? Just because my friends appear normal?

Not directly armor related. Ukrainian Bayraktar´s sank two Raptor class Fast Patrol craft. Raptor class is a copy/license of the Swedish Stridsbat 90. So if you have a leftover Tigermodel kit feel free…

As a sidenote, President P. has one ship as leisure craft.

The Russian boats are not copies, they are slightly larger than the Swedish boats.
I don’t think they are licence built copies either, partially due to differences in size but also since I don’t think Russia would have bought licenses for something they felt confident about designing themselves.
“Inspired by” is definitely a possibility though …’

“The lead boat of the P-274 project (serial number 701) was launched on August 15, 2013, and by August 27, mooring tests were completed. On June 30, 2014 it became known that a contract was signed between the Pella plant and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for the construction of boats of project 03160 Raptor, according to which the plant undertook to supply 4 boats in 2014, and 4 boats in 2015.[5]

The Swedish prototypes Helge and Helga were built in 1989, 24 years before the Russian prototypes.

If I’m not mistaken this cover offers protection from Thermal Imaging. No idea if it actually works.

“These are inferior (Particularly M1) to most Russian tanks, especially in terms of protection,”

Not when Russian ERA blocks are filled with air and the side bags are filled with cardboard!

Anybody seen a picture of the Dana SPG since they arrived in Ukraine? I have only seen the old pictures from the prewar testing in Ukraine. Still hoping I can build my HobbyBoss kit in Ukrainian colors. I have seen they paint the pixel camo on newly arrived hummers, so maybe it is not a big stretch to paint pixels on the Danas?

I did end up finding some 7mm brass tube to replicate empty tubes. Thanks everyone for your help!

I think Ukraine has a few of these but I haven’t seen anything from the Russian army.
