russian soldiers,or ukranian?..i see the white arm band but i lost track of the color codes, lol can anybody shed some light on the arm band colors and what army they pertain to?,will help me in my figure painting, thanks!
Yes it’s hard to be sure but the first two “hits” seem to be in the same area…which to my mind isn’t how mines would be placed, that close together. I imagine it’s a javelin guy lying prone from the same position so the hits would be low i.e. to the wheels & the 2nd went through to detonate right underneath(?) The 2nd does seem much larger though, so I’m not saying I’m completely right!
I believe the white armbands are used by Russian and Pro-Russian separatist forces. I have also seen red ones being worn by them too. (Edit: I have just seen some pics of Russian SOF using the orange and black St. George ribbon as an armband.) The Ukranians seem to use colored bands and they have been changing them every so often to try and avoid saboteur’s making use of them.
Recently I found an interesting pic of all-black uniforms supposedly being worn by a SOF unit of the Russian National Guard.
Hopefully the “sandbag” armor won’t be one injection molded piece repeated several times, but I fear that will be the case. Resin would capture the details nicely and a variation (I’m thinking at least three) would make it even better.
Often Scalemates will post a photo of the contents, but so far nothing.
