I like that.
Great for lobbing grenades into trenches,
machine guns (flat trajectory weapons) have
difficulties getting the bullets down into the trench
but grenades coming in from a high trajectory does the trick
On a side note, the pictured choppers appear to be French Army ones (NH-90 and Cougar)

Exactly; Pioneers are the only units in the military that are allowed to wear beards…

The signature equipment of the pioneer is the apron and the axe. Their tasks were originally to build fortifications, encampments, roadways and bridges, by WW1, they also worked on building railways.
