Modelling armour in Ukraine crisis

Is this the one you mean?

I think this is a Mod 22 as the cope cage appears similar to a variant pictured earlier this year at the Omsktransmash plant. I believe these were refurbished tanks.

Also just read today that Uralvagonzavod may begin production of new T-80s so a ‘Mod 23’ may not be far off.

Also yeah but no😁 that is a T 80BVM as can be seen by the large sight in front of the gunners hatch and the sensor mast behind, where as the one in the first picture seems to show a T 80BV fitted with a full Relikt kit (turret and hull) and the night sight similar to the ones fitted to the upgraded T 72B3M (T 72B1) mod 2022

Ah you mean this one.

Makes me wonder if they fitted the rear cages. Could very well be a Mod 23. Be nice to see more of this vehicle.

And this one, which is probably the same vehicle. It’s hard to make out what the ones behind it on the road are, either normal BVMs or T 72B3M, it’s a little fuzzy.

From some distance the braid with the coloured band could look just like a bird in sitting in a tree
