Modelling Armoured Recovery Vehicles (ARV)

Dear all,

I focus on specific topics in modelling, or our lucky and talented friends produce fantastic models there, regardless of tanks ,aircraft and carriers at the same time. Although I’m interested in Vietnam or modern Soviet-era tanks and vehicles, but my greatest passion has always been ARV vehicles :star_struck: I just wantı to start general discussions about ARVs in the forum that I was curious about the work of the friends who share a similar passion, and I thought it would be nice to gather them under one heading. Cheers… :v:

Dear all,

Stumbled upon my old thread about Armored Recovery Vehicles (ARVs) and figured it’s time to revive it! My greatest passion in modeling has always been ARVs, and I want this to be the place for them.

I’ll be regularly updating with new ARV kit announcements, sharing in-box reviews of kits from my stash, and posting any useful ARV references or historical tidbits.

If you share this niche, jump in! Share your builds, kits, or just what you love about these awesome machines.

Cheers!

I have this kit but it is missing some of the instructions. Any chance you could post photos of the instructions or send me a scan or PDF of them?

wow, somehow I have missed this thread… twice!

I love ARV’s also, specially WWII German ones but when I finish a couple that I have awaiting, I will probably step on something different. If possible I would like to build a Spanish army vehicle like the AAVPT ARV version or the Büffel.

I also like engineer vehicles, have seen this one live recently (Castor) and it’s a beauty…

The Castor (VCZAP) is indeed a beauty, it’s a really good-looking vehicle! It’s fantastic to see the community growing; I’m really happy about that too! :innocent: :clinking_beer_mugs:

A little while ago, I built this 1/72-scale 3D printed kit of the CrARRV (from Osiris Models). I was really impressed by the print quality and level of detail throughout … certainly recommended to anyone with an interest in military recovery vehicles. Once complete, the model was incorporated in a simple diorama … entering the main arena at a (fictitious) military vehicle show. I am currently working on an FV434 (again from Osiris Models).
