My prayers have been answered… the “Griffin” is here

You got it from where? I have one on preorder from Andy.

I think he’s just saying it is now available for sale; no longer just presale. Otherwise I think we’d have seen a pic of it sitting on his work table.

I’m passing on this as I already have the Dragon version but I did get the Takom /1 as I did not have that variant.

So, YES there will be some of you that are going to be offended, JUST so that you can be offended. I personally DON’T get the attraction to this new and improved build. For easy money you can pick up Tamiya’s 45 year old version. Some PE if you wanted and some Aftermarket tracks TOTAL would still be 2/3 the price of this. And with a little SKILL and ability you have a GREAT build. But like I said I do NOT get the attraction nor the need/desire to spend money just because something is NEW. Old isn’t bad, new isn’t bad. And to use a outdated saying. This will always just be “shinny penny” syndrome

I have two of the 250/1 variants and going to get /3 as soon as possible.

I have their -1 and it’s a nice looking kit.

So you’re saying you’re offended by this kit?

Yeah, I get that but I got invested in the Dragons back during their fire sale so I already have a /3, /4, /7, and /11. Not worth the hassle of selling them to buy the Takom counterpart assuming Takom gets around to the others.

LOL, sorry but sprue brothers just had the -1 on sale for $22 no way you get the tamiya kit, tracks and PE for close to that price. Nothing wrong with the tamiya, but the takoms are quite nice at a very reasonable price

Even if you didn’t get one at that price, from what I can see on eBay they are roughly selling at the same price and you don’t need to buy PE and such for the Takom. It’s not really a contest if you don’t already own one.

I already have a Dragon 250/1 “Neu” (6100) in my stash, so I look forward to build both and compare them in terms of detail and ease of build.

Yep. That’s accurate.

I test my students for reading comprehension, especially when interpreting literal information, so I had better be able to do so myself.

Really there is no comparison as the is the later version of the 250 (ausf B) and its about a 30 year old kit.
