Mystery color 17 on T-34/85 composite turret plant 112, Miniart kit with interior

Hi all,

I’m building a T34/85 of Miniart, kit 35301.It is provided with full interior, and now I am painting the sub-assemblies.

Some parts, as the air filters, are to paint in a color ‘17’, but the list of colors at the end of the instructions booklet arrives up to 16.

1-grey blue

2-white

3-black

4-gun metal

5-wood

6-aluminium

7 red brown

8-yellow

9- red

10- dark grey

11- brass

12- dark rust

13- 4BO Russian green

14- khaki

15- tire

16- brown

17 ???

More parts are described with color 17, so it is not a typo. Its omission on the colors list is a major problem.

Who has an idea of what color could it be?

Can you list some of the parts that are supposed to be color #17? From the parts, we may be able to determine a color.

The air filters in the engine bay, assembly 40 on the instructions. Then a small cylinder fixed on the right side of the crew compartment, part Na11. A rectangular framebox close to it, part Ga10. I suspect some metallic shade.

Look at the instructions for their other T-34-85 interior kits. Perhaps one of them has it.

Good images, thank you. But looks very different from instructions, the walls seem dark grey and not hull red. The filters look dark steel with traces of black paint, I’ll look for something lighter than gun metal.

I’ve read somewhere that the tanks made in z.112 in 1944 should have white interior, not partly blue_grey. Could anyone confirm?

From the list, by elimination it looks like Steel is missing. The only other suspect might be flat or gloss black, depending on what “3 – black” means.

My memory’s misty from research 10+ years ago, but I’m fairly sure I saw refs to white/off-white interiors. However the thought nags that this is mainly seen on restored and/or Korean war tanks, and wasn’t necessarily original. So…sorry, no help at all! But for the record, all my (WW2) T34s and SU122 are off-white inside.
