Nach Kreta! Operation Merkur FJR1, 1941 | Armorama™

A stunning build of the Fallschirmjäger from modelling friend Jose Manuel Flores Operation 'Merkur' (Mercury) began on the morning of 20 May, when German glider and parachute troops were dropped around Maleme and Chania in the west. Some landed among Allied defensive positions and suffered heavy casualties in hand-to-hand fighting.

Stunning. Excellent painting on the figure and his pose is spot on. I don’t know much about the JU-52 (I think) but it looks excellent as well. It’s not often you see this kind of action in an airborne subject. Extremely well done
