Nevada T-72

You liked the Louisiana T-90 ? Here’s the Nevada T-72 on its way to Aberdeen Proving Ground (EDIT : This tank was spotted at a Pilot Travel Center at West Wendover, Nevada, on May 13 by Navy veteran Dave Trojan.)

According to the pics caption, it could/should be a Czech-built T-72M5 Scarab. (upgraded T-72M1)

Sweet find! A++

Bet that T-72M5 Scarab doesn’t arrive at one’s door/gate with “free shipping” :wink: :smirk:

Wonder what it cost to ship that 95,000 pound tank?

The guys at APG are going to be hella busy analyzing those two. I hope the T-90 will then get restored to it’s original condition and put on display here.

I suspect that getting all of the parts needed to fully restore the T-90 to original condition may be hard to come by. At least parts that are fully in operational condition.

Well? if the Ukrainians were able to donate the tank itself. It wouldn’t be too hard to get a team on the ground and pick at some of the other tanks for missing parts. I’m just saying…

Perhaps when the war is over, and the Ukrainians have replaced their Russian and Soviet stuff fully with Western MBTs… Right now I’d say that operational needs take priority for pick a parts. :wink:
