Since the Real Space ISS Detail set apparently was made out of unobtainium, are there any other companies making parts to update the current International Space Station model (1/144). I thought there were a couple of 3D print vendors doing ISS parts.

New Ware makes some nice 1/144 solar panel trusses in photo-etch for ISS kit. I need a set for my kit.

These are the best replacements but are no longer available from any retail stores I’ve checked, usually “out of stock.”
I have only found them on eBay at ridiculous prices, >$20 a set with no discounts for multiple sets, and usually one at a time. I have emailed New Ware directly as the truss photo etch is still listed.
Hopefully they’re still available directly from the vendor
Even so, total cost near $75 is still over 50% of the kit cost.
There appears to be no other products even close - not from Plastruct or any 3d printing vendor. Albion hobbies has a mesh that is close but not available in the US.

Yes, they are pricey but as you said…best item out there. I didn’t know they were becoming hard to get. Please, do share when you hear back from the producer of this product. Just might have to go direct myself as well

Apparently they are still available from the manufacturer/dealer directly
I went to New Ware’s website and emailed them as to cost and availability and received an email and a PayPal invoice for the needed 4 sets.
Maybe the issue is the lack of dealers for the New Ware products.
Hopefully it won’t take months to arrive - the site looks up to date and the shipping information is current

This is a great news and glad it worked out for you. I’ll contact the manufacturer also as I too need these detail sets. Might have to look things over and do a one order of all things Real Space details from them.

The items I have gotten from New Ware are excellent. Unfortunately a lot of items needed for updates are not available anywhere but scratch building. Have to spend a lot of time on line with NASA photographs. I took a shot at sculpting a Miliput BEAM expandable module
