New M939 Series kit!

Exactly what I was thinking. I already have one that I was planning to use on an Italeri kit.

Looks like the two Italeri kits I have will now go on the market as well. Anybody want them?

Just found the vacu-formend canvas top and resin tires of the old Airmodel kit. I hope I get the ILK model the next days to see if it fits.

wheels are crap, have to get other ones from defmodelā€¦kit is too expensive for what it isā€¦at least you could have expected some good cold war figures with it

Do you actually have the kit wheels or are you assuming this? From my experience, Trumpeterā€™s (I  Models is another offshoot company) recent rubber wheels are pretty good.

I have the kit and the wheels

Iā€™ll hold judgement until I receive the kitā€¦hopefully soon. To me, the price seems about right.

The kit comes here between 60 and 70 Euros, a fair prize to me. Today a new tank kit usually starts at 60 Euros. The times when you get a tank kit for 50 Mark are long gone.

Only 58:50 Euro at MBK + postage depending on reaching the limit for ā€œfreeā€ postage or not

Edit: See Hermanns post below. They charge 1 Euro as a mandatory contribution for packing material. I suspect it is some kind of regulation imposed on mail order companies ā€¦

I paid 59,50 Euros, 58,50 Euros plus 1 Euro package.

Not bad. I paid $76.98 USD = 65,45 Euros shipped from China. I think that is pretty reasonable.

I paid 49 Euros at local dealer

Good deal!

Why too expensive? Exept for the missing canvas top over the cargo area, this thing is bloody excellent. Lightyears ahead of the old Italeri release. Maybe some resin wheels but thats all. For me love at first glance.

A steal for what you get in my opinion. Especially at the low price you paid. That is only $58USD.

If I could wish a version of the truck, it would be M944A1 SEORTM a.k.a. Batmobile.
Speaking of Batmobile, anyone has a TM for the superstructure/workshop equipment?

Made some progress, finished the cargo area and working on the frame. I look forward to the end of the build when I have to make 20 hooks for the canvas cover, The kit contains a jig and a piece of wire, the jig is just 2,5mm by 3,5mm. Eyebraking!

How about some progress pics?

Yup, it sucks getting old. I have started using reading glasses while doing detail work.

As a Plan B, the Eduard set for the Italeri kit includes themā€¦

H.P.

If someone tells me detailed how to post pics, then I`ll try I noticed that there is a part A54 next to the transmission shift level. Checked the TM and it says that the operating.levers for winch. Another indication that we might see a M925 kit?

Why pay for a PE set when you just need the tie-downs?
