Ain’t it about time? I saw the same on ScaleMates
I wonder how it will compare to the old Dragon kit?
That is a valid question… I don’t know…
Probably not as detailed but easier to build the Tamiya kit but that could probably be said in any comparison between those two companies.
Ive noticed that the gun shields are quite thick.
Always that way with tamiya.
It is so mine
Hmm. I have the old Dragon kit completed on my painting bench waiting for spraying. There seem to be a couple of shield supports missing from the Tamiya version. Otherwise not much to choose between them. The Dragon one comes with “distressed” wheels… The figures are Tamiya’s latest generation ones which seem to have been scanned from real people and look good. No doubt it will go together a lot easier and of course the instructions will be better by a factor of 10!
the gunsight seems to be obscuring the support on the left. But I see an arm attached to the rear plate.
I was just as surprised as everyone else was that Tamiya made this. I mean, they had pretty much made a kit of every German gun; now with PAK38, they may have got every one covered. I’ll be keeping an eye out for this kit. From what I’ve seen, it looks good, and should be a hit with nearly all modelers, let alone Armor modellers.
Mine is on pre order from Squadron
I picked up one of these from Squadron at the IPMS Nats. It’s a beautifully molded kit with finer molding and more detail than older Tamiya kits. It should make a great weekend project. The figures are fantastic.
