NEWS: 1/35 Border Models B-17G coming

Border Models has announced a B-17G coming in 1/35 scale sometime in 2024. This thing is going to be huge. If my math is correct, it will have a 35.5" wingspan (103’ 9" in 1:1).

Smaller than my 1/32.

Yup, 1/32 = 39" wingspan. Both are huge in my book.

I did the Italeri 1/72 B-52G at a 30" wingspan and their 1/48 AC-130 at a 33" wingspan and those were really big.

Will need to put down more paint, maybe use some retarder to help with getting the coat to settle down.

I just bought the HK Models B-17G in 1/48 and now this comes up.

I think I will be selling the 1/48 one on to help pay for this bad boy.

I wonder if they’ll do their Lancaster in 1/35 as well?

“Oh good grief. Now where the heck am I supposed to put that?”

Was that a rhetorical question ??? :rofl::rofl:

But seriously…I would never have a where to display or store it … Wingspan is massive

Dust is a huge problem in my current house. Everything that matters needs to be in a display case or sealed container. Space in the display room is also limited. I already have a lot of 1/33 scale aircraft. If I do build a 1/35 scale B-17, it will go straight into a storage box.
