They write this about their 1/144 German u-boat:
“Our manufacturer has rich experience in precision mould manufacturing and has produced a lot of WWI propeller kits for a New Zealand hobby brands. We will povide a smooth building experience even with complicated kit structure.”

but they write this about their future 1/700 HMS Victory (with interior):
“We know you’re tired of the usual subjects, so it’s time to try a completely new approach. The product molds are currently in the testing phase. The 3D-printed test samples will be showcased at the 62nd All Japan Model and Hobby Show in October, and we’ll also post photos of the plastic parts on social media. For more exciting updates, stay tuned to Neverland Hobby.”

They talk about plastic molds and mold designers while still mentioning 3D-printing.
Maybe it will be a mix of both technologies or they are using 3D-printing as a tool while developing the molds for “classic” plastic shaping.
The future will tell …

I had some experience of the tooling process a while back. The folks I worked with printed the CAD-designed parts first as a quick way to check the fit before committing to the expense of tooling, which includes all the sprues, gates, pins, etc. It’s better to find issues early…
