ODS-ish Abrams, Tamiya, 1/35

Thought I would share my current project. Beginning with a couple of inspirational photos I found on the inter-webs. I know these are 105mm but all I had on hand were the 120mm Abrams, so a little creative licensing was in order.

Here is the completed build and base.

All primed up with Mr. Surfacer 1500 Mahogany.

Then came some pre-shading with good ol’ white.

I came up with this great idea of add an under color to make the base color more warmer in tone…not really sure that was a good idea, but we’ll see.

That’s it for now. Once I get over that yellow under-color I’ll give it the base color and block in the details.

Thanks for Stopping By.

Wow that looks like a great build Eric! Those pics are very interesting. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an M1 with that many sandbags on it as well as track sections on the turret face. Awesome.
Did you make the sandbags yourself? And the tarps as well? What figures are those ?
Great start and can’t wait to see the finished product.
