Yeah baby that’s the one I was remembering from a few years ago, my how it’s grown as the actress oh never mind. Crazy good, are you liable to pay State land tax on that? And do I spy the waterwheel for the Chateau dio in some of those pics?

Robin , Terminator , Christian , Ryan , Tim , thanks guys .

Tim , yepper, the diner sits on a 3/4 “ 2’x2’ piece of plywood .with very little room to spare .The Marina garage takes up just a little less space on another 3/4” 2’x2’ plywood . Yes that is one of the water wheels , along with a lot of other ghosts of plastic past . Not gone and not forgotten . Waxing nostalgic , the chateau gatehouse and conservatory were my fav builds . I’m well into my seventies and not blind to how much time I’ve got left on this rock . I start builds and drift off on another build like a skier navigating moguls . I’m happiest in my bench/lab building stuff with dvd’s playing , Entire seasons of Supernatural , Dexter , Walking Dead , Fear the Walking Dead , Stranger Things and on and on .If I don’t have those dvd’s playing in the background I have music sticks with around 500 tunes rocking . When the Beatles first came out I was more of a Stones , Who , Steppenwolf type , so naturally when AC/DC , VanHalen and many , many more hit the airwaves , I was in !!!

Well enough about me , now I’d like to talk about my all bean diet …………….

The dio hopefully will have all the vehicles I’ve posted , maybe , maybe not . I’m building them anyway as a cast of characters to be moved around the chess board of the build till I find a suitable scene.

A long , long time ago JR and I started building scenarios due to space constrictions . Different scenerio builds photographed and presented as seperate pieces of a whole with narratives tying each seperate build together rather that present one large 4’x8’ build on a hunk of plywood .

Hopefully I’ll find a place for this civilian version of Gecko Models LARC-V . This kit is a dream and the fit is so precise you can’t leave any paint where plastic joins to plastic or things will be off , ask me how I know . I’ve decided to nix the kit railings and fashion my own , the kit railings distract from what’s on the deck . The knuckle boom is from Academy Models M113 IDF fitter and is workable .

A lot to like in this one! The builds, themselves, are all very convincing and unique. Of all the things, I’m drawn to the weathering of the interior of the LARC.

I have to share your images with my wife (the Duchess), as she’s from LBI-born and raised in Surf City. I’d figure the pool tables would be in a place called Hudson House…

Wow Glenn - the work on the diner is incredible! :scream: just fantastic, and detailed on so many levels - the stuff you might only notice in passing in real life, and included here. Looking forward to seeing what you will do with all of this

Cheers

Thanks man , ……… wow , an actual person that can visualize L.B.I. related references .

Lol , Hudson House , uneven warped plank wood floors , spent a lot of time there and all the other fine watering holes on L.B.I. ……….. in the off season when the shoobees are gone .

Oh I could tell you stories ……………………….

Thanks JR .

I rolled the dice on these two Black Dog apocalypse/stalker figs. I’ve heard good/bad things on Black Dog in general . Stowage/vehicle set complaints etc. I have a lot of their stuff and I have none of those complaints . I never however have dropped down on their figs and I just have to say I’m very pleased with these . Considering the amount [ or lack thereof ] this genre of figs . I’m also a bit spoiled and mostly do resin figs now , Masterbox figs in ths genre are , to me soft on detail but they do have some interesting poses . Evolution Miniatures are a dream . I can’t properly quote/credit who said the following “ Quality figs pretty much paint themselves “ I think it was Martin Kovac , whoever said it , they were right , even a so/so painter can get very good results from a well sculpted/cast fig. They’re primed in a Glidden Max Flex potters clay color from Home Depot , highly , highly recommended , drying time , minutes . I can start painting these figs in less than an hour . They have lots of colors and I’ve used them on my vehicles etc.

Cheyenne this is looking real good man! That’s a very unique scene, and your composition is spot on. I will be stalking this one now that I’m back on the site. Looking forward to the next chapter.
