Are these 3D on both sides? I suspect not - they are printed on a card. But damn they do look good.
By “on a card” do you mean standing off a baseplate on a series of tiny rods? If so they are printed on both sides, but one side will have a few tiny sprue-scars to clean up while not damaging the details. The whole thing is effectively printed floating in space, but attached to the baseplate by these supports.
What country are they from? I tried to register on their site but had no luck.
Ah - in that case I don’t know. Are they printed on the card, or just stuck onto it after printing?
Do you know if they move recently? Cause everyone says they are a Russian company but that seems incorrect now.
The last photo shows detail on both sides.
I sent them a email but haven’t heard back yet. I like their 3D items.
It looks as if there may be some slight detail on the back side. Doesn’t matter. I’m ordering anyway.
If I am not mistaken, they make instrument decals for cockpits that are expensive and are of high quality.
They are hit and miss. I have a set for the Mi-8MT/Mi-17, and it looks very good. But all of the components mount to a flat surface.
I’ve also seen a build recently where someone here used one of the sets for some door interiors. I didn’t have the heart to say that based on my own photos, those parts were way off. It would have served no purpose.
Could it be that the belts wrapped around the MG are two fitted back to back? I’ve seen Quinta decals on ebay and considered them for my AK Unimog, specifically the canvas canopy. They look quite good.
The Quinta Studios vehicle sets are ingenious and beautiful renditions that add quality and pop to any model. I have dozens of sets and am very happy with them.
I hadn’t thought of that, but since they’re printed on a card it stands to reason they’re probably flat on one side. Designing them to be glued back to back would be genius. I’ll know soon enough,
