Waiting for the spare parts to the Boomerang I decided to start next Arma Hobby set. I’m going to build it OOB exept 3D resin parts (instrument panel, seat with belts and exhaust tubes).

3D resin parts:

Decals and masks (of course both are included in the kit ):

I started with putting on some putty on wings where the unnecessary panel lines are.

Next, I removed vents on fuselage

and glued some parts together.

I cut 3D parts and tried to fit them. They fit perfectly.

At the end of today I painted some parts Interior green. I used Gunze C351 colour.

Looking good so far.

I picked up this one myself not long ago. Good to know that filling in those areas on the wing works out well.

What we really need though to complete this is a pilot in his PJ’s!

I’m still working on cockpit.

And I finished sanding of wings. I will check everything when I put surfacer.

Have to get back to my research on the IL. pilot that was shot down, maybe by friendly fire in a P36 during the Pearl Harbor attacks. John Dains was supposed to have flown P40s and a P36 before being shot down by friendly fire. Always wanted to do one for our local IL. museum Wayne

Decals and wash in cockpit done. Now I can glue both part of fuselage together.

I glued fuselage together and added instrument panel to the cockpit.

I painted seat.

Now I’m glueing tail section.

I finished the tail and the seat.

And I also glued, painted and washed engine.

I glued wings and fuselage together.

I also glued engine cowling.

I used suggestion from this article and didn’t glue cowling according to instruction manual:

Time to paint areas behind the cockpit.

I painted the areas behind the cockpit (I used Gunze SM 201 Super Fine Silver 2 paint) and mounted engine, cowling and window at the right side of fuselage. On the other side I need to put decal first.
