P-39Q-6BE Airacobra "Snooks 2nd" 1:72 Arma Hobby

My next Arma Hobby kit:


It will be my second attempt to build “Snooks 2nd”.
First was an Academy model I built many years ago. I used Part PE set and some my own invention (especially nose gear bay):

and I’m going to use Eduard PE zoom set:

So, at the beginning I drilled all the necessary holes and filled in unnecessary inspection panels and lights.


Next I glued some parts in interior and I painted the first colour in the interior - Zinc Chromate Yellow. I used A.MIG 221 paint.

The next colour I painted is Bell Green. I used Tamiya XF-26.



And I glued wings.

I put plastic rod to fill in gun openings in places where 0,303 guns were mounted. After dry I will cut them and sand.

During last days I worked on cockpit.

I finished sanding, rescribing lines and I put a coat of Surfacer.

Next I painted a bit of preshading for white colour and I painted firs coat of Tamiya XF-2

That’s looking nice Andrzej as always, looks like just the fragile undercarriage to go and you’ll have another masterpiece finished.
