P-47D-28 "Battle Baby"

Bacause I built this one:

I decided to begin Tamiya P-47D “Bubbletop” in 1:72 scale. I chose P-47 “Batlle Baby” markings from 41st FS, 35th FG.

I painted Olive Drab anti-glare panel.

I painted black badge around rear part of fuselage.

Now I have to make masks for engine cowling to paint them yellow.

OK. I painted engine cowling yellow.
First I made masks from Tamiya 18mm tape. I used copy of decals as a template.



Next I painted unwanted anti-glare panel aluminium.

Then I painted cowling yellow (Gunze H413).


The final effect:


Now I can put decals.
