Hello. I am hoping that somebody can answer this question. Does anybody know how many and where the MP38/40’s were stored? I’ve checked every photo i can find, every book i have but still can not find the answer.
Any and all help will be gratefully received!

Good question. I have an extensive collection of books on the Panther, and I can’t find the answer in any of them. I also reviewed the Chieftain’s YouTube video, ‘Inside the Panther’. - nothing!
I expected to find one mounted to the inside of the turret, probably on the loaders side. But can5 find it there in any pics.
I’ll keep looking.

Hello Ralph, thanks for responding. I have just had a reply on another site saying that he believes that there is an MP38/40 in the front left of the turret, mounted in the standard ‘L’ mount, i have not been able to confirm this. As for the Jagdpanther there is again one MP’ in the same mount as in the Stug 3, but below the ammo racks opposite the gunners seat. This is confirmed by a photo of the IWM London Jagdpanther.
