This is my first post here. Warning I am quite new to 3D printing
I am starting a test print and build of the Pinzgauer 6x6. This will be available for purchase once ready as files for printing along with the 4x4 version.
I’m not sure yet if I will build this as a New Zealand Vehicle or British Vehicle.
The Pinzgauer is a family of high-mobility 4×4 and 6×6 military utility vehicles. The vehicle was originally developed in the late 1960s and manufactured by Steyr-Daimler-Puch of Graz, Austria They were most recently manufactured at Guildford], England by BAE Systems Land & Armaments It was popular amongst military buyers and continued in production there throughout the rest of the century.
I have printed the files - they look excellent and were very easy to lay out and print on an Elegoo Saturn IV Pro.
Welcome Ian to Armorama! This is a very ambitious project you have undertaken, with great success. That’s an interesting vehicle and outstanding looking prints. Those parts are very sharp. I look forward to your future posts on step-by-step assembly and painting.
Cracking looking model; I recall seeing these in the Omani Army (I was on Loan Service) long before the Brits ever even thought of them. They were used by, amongst others, the Desert Regiment, heavily laden, bristling with antennae and seemed to be almost silent as they drifted into view.
My first try at making a canopy. I wrapped the kit in Clingwrap and then layed on tissue paper which I painted with liquid resin and then popped it into the UV curing station. It is not glued on yet - I will do that after I add the windows. I have ordered some camouflage netting to add to the top held down by a couple of ratchet tied downs. I will also be making an L118 howitzer to tow behind.
