Hello everyone. Let me introduce myself. My name is Grzegorz and I am 45 years old. I come from Poland. I have been interested in modeling since I was a child, but I started seriously building models in 2008. My main interests are armored vehicles. As a young boy, I completed my military service as a tank crew commander. That’s enough about me. I start my adventure on this forum by presenting the construction of my favorite M1A1 Abrams tank in the FEP version. These tanks have just entered to service in the Polish army. I present one of them in the first photo. This is a special vehicle. There is an inscription “Sitek-21” on it’s barrel. This particular vehicle was named in honor of a Polish soldier killed by an illegal immigrant on the Polish-Belarusian border a few months ago. Sergeant Mateusz Sitek was going to become the driver of this tank. Okay, what do we have here? The model itself is actually a set from RYE FIELD MODEL, but it was repackaged in a box of the Polish company HOBBY 2000. The only thing that has been changed are decals with the markings of the First Warsaw Armored Brigade (small, yellow siren) and Polish license plates. To make the model an exact replica of the Polish Abrams, Scale23 created a small conversion that includes a new AIDATS commander’s camera, extended antenna bases and shackles that were adapted from Leopard tanks. If someone wants to build an Abrams in Polish service, they must purchase such a conversion. Ok, that’s it. Now some photos. I hope you will like my work? Regards.

Welcome Grzegorz. Your M1 build is progressing very well. I had not realised that Hobby 2000 were a Polish company. They do some great boxings of mainstream stuff. Many Hasegawa aircraft for example.
