Prewar German farm tractor in 1:24th scale

Hello all, time to build a little crawler/tractor model ~ this is a 3D printed kit of a prewar German farm tractor produced by 4 Stars, being printed it will have it’s own challenges. The kit arrived fast, all the parts are in great condition. after an inventory, all the parts were washed and made ready for primer. Here is a link to the company, they sell many types of 3D printed kits: FourStarsMiniatures

By the way thanks to you I decided to paint them silver, it had to be done in levels.

Following along. :popcorn::+1:

Detached the track parts from their pallets, got them primed and painted, this model will be done in a traditional shade of yellow.

A little progress on the German farm tractor, injector body is drilled out to accept fuel lines on the left side and the same treatment for ignition wires from the magneto on the right ~ lines are installed and painted.

A bit more done on this model amid other ongoing projects ~

A bit more done on this little tractor and some weathering added…this multi-vice is a mighty handy tool.

I know, right? I love my little DSPIAE bench vise. Clamp your model into it, set it at any angle, and suddenly you have two hands to work with.

I like it. What will you do with it?

A bit more done on the 1:24th farm tractor, nearly time to test fit the tracks, the fun part ~

A small update ~ the tracks are on, these parts were particularly well made and fit together very well, a fun part of the build. They will be weathered as well later.

More progress on the farm tractor, exhaust stack is mounted and more weathering is done. Tracks will get the treatment next ~

This came together quite well. You made it look like it was easy.

Thanks, a fairly straightforward kit with few parts.

The learning curve for me is getting used to the materials used in 3D printed kits.

Next up is a D7 in 1:25th, really looking forward to it: D7 3T Dozer with Laplant Choate B75 Hydraulic System Full | Scale Collectibles
