Primer for P-47

What primer would work best for my NMF P-47,I will be using Tamiya XF-16? Would it be gray Tamiya Extra Fine,or a flat or gloss black?

I’m not trying for a glossy mirror finish,but a dull weathered aluminum look.

i would go for mr surfacer 1500 black. Not really gloss, but not totally dull either.

making the plane look dull is the job of the final coat.
