PVA glue ratio for groundwork?

Alot of videos will say use PVA to water dilution for groundwork, but never say the ratio, im going to try 1:1, see how it works

Ratios vary. What’s important is that you add a drop or two of dish soap to the mix to break down the surface tension.

or just hit the surface with denatured alcohol first , correct?
