PZ.KPFW.II AUSF.L “LUCHS” 1Kp.,Pz.Afkl.Abt.9. Normandy, 1944. Asuka Model 1/35

The last post of 2023 will be dedicated to Auska Model’s Luchs, a delicious little model of a very nice vehicle that should be seen more in contests and RRSS.

Regarding the assembly, I have improved it with the Aber FG, but without “going crazy”, clasps, some minor parts and especially the grilles that I consider essential, the gun is from RB Models, I have also placed the Frilumodel tracks as the original vinyl ones, although of very good quality, are never the same as the metallic ones.

For the base colour, the Normandy camu, is very nice but very laborious to execute, you have to work very fine with the airbrush and work many hours and very slowly, but I think the result is worth it.

I hope you like how it is progressing.

Best Regards

Love the camo, top drawer.

The time and effort you’ve put in are rewarding you with a really impressive build.

Nice one

I’ve had this kit in my stash for some 30 years. Every now and again I take a look at it…maybe I should look more seriously!

You have a good eye for camo, which is a lot trickier than it looks. How balanced the colors should be and how busy the canvas of the tank should be with the green and red brown. Looks like it will look great when finished.
