Question for WW2 Canadian Sherman Firefly VC

I recently came across an interesting picture of a Canadian Army Sherman Firefly tank. I’d like to learn more about this vehicle, see photos from more angles, and find out which unit it belonged to—especially regarding the text on the rear hull, which appears very blurry in the image (I’m planning to make custom water transfer decals).

I’ve been doing some research and apparently this is one has operated near the town of Ifs in Normandy during Operation Spring (forget the Gold Beach nonsense you come across). I come across the following British(!) units supporting the Canadians during the operation:

  • 1st Hussars
  • 22nd British Armoured Brigade
  • 27th British Armoured Brigade

According to B.T. White in his book “British Tank Markings and Names”; 5th Battalion, Royal Tank Regiment named their tanks with the letter “E”, 5th letter in the alphabet.
The website of 5 RTR (5th Royal Tank Regiment: Service) indicates that the unit indeed was part of the 22nd Armored Brigade. So this all makes sense…
I haven’t found any more specific info on this tank.

So it is a British Firefly tank belonging to the 5th Royal Tank Regiment, 22nd Armoured Brigade, correct?
