Questions about helfire missiles

Hello everyone,
I’m building an Academy Israeli Apache helicopter in 1/72nd scale.
I am doing a lot of scratch building to both of the entire engines, avionics and the helfire missiles and it’s assembly.
My question to you guys is, are the helfire missiles on the back of them, are they covered while in flight during missions?
If so what color would they be?
If not, would the engine part of the missiles be a steel color?

There is a small exhaust hole in the rear that is just black like the rest of it.
