Love the White scout cars on rails.
Looks like one of those rail car outings exceot for the machine guns.
Hope this isnt too boring but i will build this…

Wow, I never knew there are so many variants of inspection vehicles. From civilian cars to Armored cars.
This my scratchbuilt 1/35 Cougar Mine and Ambush Protected trolley used in Rhodesia to check track for mines and ambushes in front of goods and passenger trains. The crew are turning it around on its built in jack/turntable.
@dcrfan nice Cougar.
I originally bought this handcar kit to convert to On30.
That didnt work so picked up the On3 version.
These kits are similar to Grant line castings.
Easy to work with.
Little flash and some sink marks.
The only ones I was concerned with were on the backs of the wheels.
These PSC handcars actually operate.
If you push them the hand lever goes up and down.
Not practical but fun.
Calling this one done…
and an On30 version…

@Gluthanasia that’s a quick build and a beautiful looking hand car. Well done.
Are you planning to convert the motorcycle into a velocipede? Several years ago at a railroad museum I took several photos of a three-wheeled velocipede. I was looking around to post it last night, it must be on an external drive. Cool little critters.
Thanks @JPTRR .
Its a really nice kit.
Some tiny parts.
Yes the motorcycle will get some handcar wheels installed.
They are cool little critters.
Very nice build, paint, and weather. And operable.
Thanks @KoSprueone .
Operable if you push the handcar.
If you push the lever it breaks. ![]()
Like I said before not very practical but fun to push and watch the lever go up and down.
I dont like to work with resin but this kit was quite enjoyable to build.
The resin was kind of soft like a Miniart kit.
Easy to work with.
Had a few CA glue problems while assembling but all the parts are pretty much where they should be.
@ Gluthanasia. That looks really good!
Only one minor critique: I’d think the one-sided flange on the front fork would skip right off of the track. Maybe scratch-build a ring for its left side? HTH.

Thanks @justsendit .
Totally agree about the front wheel.
Made me wonder how a hand powered velocipede stays on the track.
Maybe move the sidecar wheel forward?
One example, Swedish Railroad museum:
First of all: The wheels are not arranged as a right angle triangle,
the lonesome wheel is halfway between the front and rear axle.
This forces the draisine to stay parallell with the tracks.
Secondly: the wheels on the draisine in the photo has flanges on both sides.
This is OK for a light draisine when the driver/operator can lift the wheel
past the turn out rails in switches/turnouts. Does NOT work for heavy vehicles …
I agree, assuming that the handlebar steering is locked to keep the wheel strait. I think your solution is “on the right track.” ![]()
And for the heck of it, I found a couple of short YouTube videos which might be of interest.
‘NNRy Riding the Rails HD’
In the following, it seems that direction of travel and weight placement determines the out-rigger’s geometry.

Nice work Tom and Gluthanasia.
Glad to see that you two are jumping right into the campaign. ![]()
I have finally decided on what I am going to order for my project, the bad thing is that I have to wait to order it as I am waiting to see how much I have to pay Uncle Sam for taxes this year. So until then, I’m trying to curb my spending. However, if I don’t get taxed to death………look at Squadron MMR and eBay…….here I come with my shopping list and money in hand!!! ![]()
On another note……….any of you artists want to create an award for this campaign? I slapped this one together real quick, but it definitely isn’t a quality award as I don’t have the artistic computer skills that others possess. I just did it up as an idea.
Thank you and also thank you everyone taking part in my campaign. ![]()
