Resin LVSR MMRS MK18

Still pushing along with the resin wrecker.

Today i installed the crane boom, started some hydrolic lines, broke one of the rear legs so I could correctly install the ram, and pretty much got the rear of the vehicle ready enough to shoot some flat coat here soon.

Still plenty to do but it’s looking the part now.

Beautiful build I was hoping the army would pick these up but they went with the Maxxtow instead. I do have a question has the HEMTT that did the bend in the middle used by the marines ever get a kit version made?

I have never seen it, that’s the LVS I believe

It can be moving but I locked everything in place for my next build

the only detail that i saw that I’m not even sure if it can be made is on the extended foot steps there is usually a chain from the extension to the upper foot step and if I’m wrong i do apologize and please let me know.

I see that can be a thing but for me I love the commentary as I helps me learn and develop. I am no expert on any of this so I take it all as a brother lending assistance.

That is the Big Boy way of handling criticism of your work.

That said, my only critique of the whole build is the silvering of the decal on the driver’s door. Have you applied any clear over it yet? If not, you might try wetting it to see if it’ll come off. Then you can brush paint a little gloss coat on the area and reapply it, possibly with a very diluted mix of white glue. Then flat clear coat over it if it gets rid of the silvering.

Decals are the bane of my existence haha

They were applied over clear but they didn’t set well in a couple cases. I was going to apply pigment dust as a cover up.

That said I could try your idea, I didn’t think you could lift a decal once it was dry and I used decal setting solution too.
