It seems that US trucks delivered to GB received British blackout lighting fixtures. For what I can see, this meant removal of the US headlights, to be replaced by a single British “Lucas” blackout light on the left fender. In preparation of D-Day, “Reversal Lend-Lease” was arranged for a number of trucks, and here’s my question: Did this incorporate any changes in the lighting system, especially re-installing a “normal” headlight on the right fender, or was anything more than adding an “X” in front of their USA registration number considered unnecessary?
