And the initial results after toothpicks, stiff brush and tooth brush attack.

Washes, dry brushing etc still to come. I’m after an abandoned Leopard, maybe someone has an Ukraine markings example that I can replicate or I’ll leave it in the German markings, not there yet and no rush.

Some of you might remember this from the earlier thread that was very tongue in cheek where I was attempting to fix the warped upper deck, succeeded but then let the rest hit the bottom of the pot. I’ve previously posted my repair.

Any suggestion up to this point feel free to kick them across. Honestly I’m grooving on the results so far. Pretty much what I was envisioning. Im pretty sure a lot of this isn’t steel, correct me if I’m wrong so my chipping and rust application would be minimal. If I’m wrong on that feel free to let me know.

I have no knowledge on the subject but the build looks good from here. :+1::+1:

What Ryan said above … But, if I’m honest, it looks to good just be abandoned without damage … I would be going down the battle worn look and tweaking it that way ? Looks good though

I’m leaning that way, heavy washes, maybe a tarp hear or there. I was losth to toss it when I discovered the warped upper deck and as it’s still not perfect in the engine area I thought this path made sense. Thx for the feedback.

Good to see it getting a 2nd chance. It looks a nice kit and with a few tweaks, the battle worn look with some minor damage if needed will certainly bring it back to life :+1:

Personally I liked the clean look but you’re well past that point now, if it’s going to be abandoned maybe a rolled out track on one side would help explain the backstory a bit better who knows . . . I don’t see any visible warpage on the engine deck so you’ve fixed that pretty good.
