Thanks for posting this warning. I also JUST got the RFM M1279 from Sprue Brothers. Without your post, I wouldn’t have checked the kit until I decided to build it.
I’ve contacted Sprue Brothers this morning and waiting for a response.

It’s from their USMC JLTV M1278A1 HGC kit.

Well, the sprues went somewhere. Wonder if the Heavy Guns Carrier also has an incorrect F sprue?

This is the instruction sheet from their USMC JLTV M1278A1 HGC 5149 kit showing the F tree with the MCTAGS turret. My 5149 kit has all the correct trees in it.

My HGC had the correct F sprue as well.

I watched some video’s the model company’s put out showing the making of the kit. The final assembly into the box had people loading the sprues from different bins around them. I suspect that someone placed the wrong bin in the batch. When that bin was emptied I suspect the correct bin just replaced the empty wrong bin and the packing just continued.

Wow. That would explain why all of SB had the same problem. I wonder how many sprues could have been in that bin..

Still haven’t heard anything back since I emailed them (RFM). Wondering if I will. The after-sales email was the only one that was not an immediate rejection. Hope they will at least respond with something. I know if I don’t get any response and can’t find an email to get a response from, my thoughts on RFM will drop. Customer service is an important thing for me.

RFM has replied to my email and said they will send a replacement sprue. woo hoo. Will let you all know when it arrives for timing purposes

I know this post is a bit stale, but Sprue Brothers got in replacement F Sprues from RFM and I just got it from them today!
