RFM, what were you thinking

So I just got the M1279 from Sprue Brothers yesterday…. I opened it up and it had the wrong F sprue in the box. I cannot build it this way. :frowning:. I know they will make it right, just sucks as I wanted to start right away.

I’ve had sprue issues with them too. Their stuff is so nice to build - great engineering and detail - their weird packing lapses are frustrating.

Better take a closer look at my Paladin

Just wondering what Sprue Brothers will do…. Do they just send a sprue or a whole kit I wonder….

One time I was missing a PE fret,it was the schurzen from a Dragon Panther,he said he would replace it from another kit in stock, and then they would deal with Dragon.

Not sure if that’s how it would work for you,but in my case, that’s how they handled it.

Cool, Gordon is a good guy. Hope he does,.I emailed RFM at this email support@ryefield-model.com. and it was sent back from Yahoo as an address that does not exist.

They probably were thinking they had packed the box properly. There’s no advantage in supplying the wrong sprue.

I know it was not intentional, just figure QA would be better. I have never actually had that happen before..

OK, I was confused by the thread title. “What were they thinking?” is usually in reference to a specific decision that did not work out, when this was probably just human error, as you said.

Interesting fact. sprue checked every kit they had….. they all had the incorrect sprue…. Oops RFM.

F sprue includes a lot of kit possibilities
