Apon doing research in to my ROC M1A2T im getting confused I read in the facbook page on the M1 Abrams/ MBT70 facebook page that the Taiwanese M1A2T is a customiezed M1A2 SEP V.2 and im also reading its will be a M1A2 SEP V.3
Per a statement from US DoD sources, they will be…
“…roughly equivalent to M1A2 SEPv3, except depleted uranium armor is replaced by FMS export armor. There is no mention of the Trophy APS system.”
if thats the case why is everyone saying based on the SEP V.2?
I tried to contact GDLS to get info on the M1A2T and they responded by saying contact the US Army.

Taiwan will receive the first two of 108 M1A2T Abrams tanks in June from the US, Liberty Times has reported.
The M1A2T is a customized version of the M1A2 SEPv2 (System Enhancement Package).
Taiwanese military officers will receive the General Dynamics tanks in the US on June 30, and undertake training on the platform, including driving, live firing, and vehicle maintenance, the Taipei-based outlet added.
The first batch of 38 Abrams tanks is scheduled to arrive in Taiwan by 2024, followed by 42 in 2025, and 28 in 2026.
Maybe they will be upgraded v2s to v3 standard, not necessarily new-build v3s. We won’t know for sure until they are delivered.

Why don’t you wait until some pics of them come out. Then you can see what they look like and we can probably identify what type they are.

Yes and from what i got by using google translate is that the M1A2T is a M1A2 SEP v.2 with SEP V.3 electronics ,I just cant figure out that box in the bustle rack to me it looks like the the combination APU, enviromental control unit thats on the Kuwaiti M1A2K from the size id say yes but not certain see the pic of my Kuwaiti M1A2K
