Rye field Tiger 1

Received my book from Mig ammo on building the rye field tiger 1 last week, gave me inspiration to start the kits I had on the shelf. I’m starting with the track first. 3 sets of late 1 of early and 1 transport. The side pins go in nicely, I dot a bit of tamiya thick glue on the ends after they are in place. The Guide horns are very time consuming. Definitely not for everyone.

For reference: those tubes on the rear deck were not rubber and they were not black.

Since you brought it up, what were they made of? And how flexible were they?
Ken

Sheet metal windings. Not very flexible.

Wow always thought they were rubber hoses. I have a few tigers from dragon and rfm and I’ll have to see how they are rendered. Haven’t looked on the boxes in a long time .

Same here, that is surprising!

I recall some model company making them in rubber …. I could be wrong

Awesome looking Tiger and I really like how it is displayed. Always interested in rail mounted AFVs but got other plans for my Tiger build.
