SOme additional details of the real vehicle; especially the hydraulic lines for the front attachments (Rake/Dozer Blade). Tis detail is often hidden behind the attachments.
A little about the picture (from DVIDS)

Oh! This is an interesting idea. Add the Snorkels to the vehicle… Looks pretty cool.

its funny how the MARINES seen a need for a vehicle to breach mine fields and other battlefield obstacles well before the ARMY

I think Big Army thought the TWMP mounted on the Abrams, and the M58 trailers being towed behind by M113A3s would be enough.
Then some genius in the brass thought “Hey! We can use this too.”

The US Army fielded them at the same time. It was a joint venture.
The US Army had a specialized breacher system in the M728 CEV as early as the late '60s. The CEV pulled a separate M58 MICLIC trailer or a second M60 AVLM (Armored Vehicle Launched MICLIC) followed along w/the CEV.
M728 CEV
M58 MICLIC Trailer
M60 AVLM
The M1150 combined these vehicles into one. Some say with less capability since it does not have a breaching gun.

At one point the Marines will have to spearhead the eventual combined joint maritime insertion into the Korean Worker’s Paradise. I don’t have to name where - anyone can figure it out. And so has the still living military leadership under the guidance of the all knowing Supreme Leader. The snorkels would be a great addition.

Ye olde M60 AVLB launching the M58 MCLIC during GW1. You can see the M728 CEV to the left of the AVLB.

More work done before heading to work. Working on the MCLIC launcher.
Already completed the right side rack and working on the left one.
You can also see the side access panels where you load the M58 units from.

I had no clue that the M1150 was a joint project and i was refering to the gap between the M728 and the M1150

I had no clue the M1150 was a joint Army/Marines venture. I thought the Marines came up with the idea first, since (according to the Wiki), the variant was made for the Marines. I thought the M1 Panther II MCV was the one used by the Army, but after doing some extra research, this variant was not made in large numbers.
M1 Panther II MCV.
I know the Army also put out a contract for an M1 based vehicle to replace the M728, which was old in the tubes; which became the Grizzly… Sadly, the project was cancelled and only two vehicles were made.

I would love to see a Grizzley and the AVLB version of the Abrams kitted. I mean we have more paper panzers from WW2 I think a few modern concepts won’t break the bank.

I should have put that in my 2025 Predictions thread. Probably more like 2026.

The M104 Wolverine would be a nice kit.
But there’s also the M1074 JAB

Wait, what, there’s TWO?!

Yup. We have 51 M1074s in service, along with 44 M104s

The M104 Wolverine was initially accepted in '03 with 44 being delivered. The Army has found them to be too expensive to operate and not very reliable. They also take longer to employ. The program has since been cancelled.
The M1074 JAB was accepted in 2016 and is replacing the M104 and older M60 AVLBs. It will eventually replace all prior bridgers in the US Army.

Thank God the AVLBs we had on Carson almost never worked and if they did it was long enough to get to the most inconvenient spot just to break again

If you buy it new; you’ll definitely get a full kit. I bought this kit second-hand, so I did not. Do not fret, my friend.
