SP Designs Corrected hull for SA-6 arrived yesterday.
Herewith a comparison between Trumpeters(top) and SP Designs(bottom) hulls:
Note the difference of wheel attachement positions between both hulls!

Major differences = a lot of work.
Note to self: Get the hulls from SP …
It appears that the entire suspension is being stretched as well as having the wheels relocated to the proper location. Will this then require aftermarket tracks to fit the stretch? I haven’t opened my copy of this kit for a long time but I’m pretty sure it has link and length tracks
Hi Paul!
Length of both hulls is equal and locations of idler/drive wheels match on both hulls.I don’t think one will need additional tracks when using SP Designs hull
HTH,

Going by the instructions, there should be two links spare
That is, I count 27 separate links on the track sprue (of which there are two in the kit) but only 26 in the drawing that shows how the track goes on.
Optimist …
This is one of the biggest reasons I have not started mine yet.
I’m still in the collecting phase with SAM-6…
The kit costed peanuts when I bought it (18 USD), so I decided to invest in AM.
I’ve collected some goodies over the years like:
I knew Sergej(SP Design) offered a corrected hull for the SAM, but did not know what was wrong with the OOB one…Until I read Jacques post….
Now after Jakko posted the spare tracks count, I might need some AM tracks too…
Vicious Circle, I know!
