Painting with the base color RAL 7021 Dunkelgrau using AMIG-0008. After applying the pure base color, I lightened it with a few drops of white (AMIG-0050) and applied it to the centers of the panels and flatter parts, trying to break the monotony of the Dunkelgrau a bit.
The metal tracks were placed in Ammo’s darkening fluid (A.MIG-2020 METALLIC TRACKS BURNISHING FLUID).
First, I applied the Heavy Chipping Effects (a.mig-2011), let it dry for about 20 minutes, and then applied white (a.mig-050 - Matt White). The idea was not to give a 100% homogeneous coverage.
Afterward, with water to activate, I was wearing out.
Here we have the conveyor belts, only with chemical treatment.
Your work proves an adage I have preached for years, that being based on an old family saying, for you sir show “it’s not the kit, but the builder”. GREAT WORK on a kit that was first released in 1975
Applied the white camouflage run-off and other effects. I used Oilbrusher White (AMIG-3501), Streaking Grime for Winter Vehicles (AMIG-1205), and Matt White (AMIG-0050).
To dust, I used the Rubble tone (AMIG-3013) and fixed it with enamel thinner.
Thank you, @metalhead85 and @Nito74. Every now and then I pick up some old ones to improve, but often the upgrades end up being more expensive than the kit itself, or even a more modern version like the Dragon or Academy. Tamiya could have taken advantage of the new Panzer II A/B/C and upgraded the F/G.
